Those were happy days in so many,
many ways

In the early morning
the shirt factory horn
called women from Creggan,
the Moor and the Bog
While the men on the dole
played a mother's role,
fed the children
and then trained the dogs
And when times got tough
there was just about enough
But they saw it through
without complaining
For deep inside was a burning pride
in the town I loved so well
There was music there in the Derry air
like a language that
we all could understand
I remember the day when
I earned my first pay
And I played in a small pick-up band
There I spent my youth
and to tell you the truth
I was sad to leave it all behind me
For I learned about life
and I'd found a wife
in the town I loved so well
But when I returned
how my eyes have burned to see
how a town could be brought to its knees
By the armoured cars
and the bombed out bars
and the gas that hangs on to every tree
Now the army's installed
by that old gasyard wall
and the damned barbed wire gets
higher and higher
With their tanks and their guns,
oh my God, what have they done
to the town I loved so well
Now the music's gone but they carry on
For their spirit's been bruised,
never broken
They will not forget
but their hearts are set
on tomorrow and peace once again
For what's done is done
and what's won is won
and what's lost is lost
and gone forever
I can only pray for a bright,
brand new day
in the town I loved so well
ただ、懐（なつ）かしみ、
手を拱（こまね）くしかないと、
嘆く歌。
シンガーソングライターの
フィル・コウルタ（Phil Coulter）は、
1942年生まれですから、
2018年現在で、生きていれば76才です。
彼の作曲の多くは、1960年代の、
ロックやフォークソングですが、
彼自身が歌っているビデオは、
ヘタくそなので、聞くに耐えません。
テノールの歌唱にしました。
北アイルランドの、
ロンドンデリーで育った子供の頃を、
懐かしんでいます。
鼻をつく煙の中で、
ボールを蹴って遊んだガス工場。
雨の中の刑務所や噴水。
シャツ工場で働く女性と、
食事を作り、
犬を散歩に連れて行く失業中の父親。
文句を言わずに、バンドで稼ぎ、
妻と巡り合った街。
青春の思い出を残して、
あとにしたが、
久しぶりに帰ると、
爆風で吹き飛んだ酒場に、
鉄条網を張り巡らされたガス工場と、
装甲車。
1972年1月30日の、デリーの血の日曜日事件を、
批判しているようです。
デモ隊に、英国軍が発砲して、
14人の青年を、射殺しました。
為す術（すべ）もないと、歌いますが、
全世界で、
１億人の人が、精神病と診断されて、
強制的に廃人になり、
日本でも、100万人の人が、
病気でもないのに、病気とされて、
廃人にされている現実を、
この歌手は、ちっとも知りません。
いわゆる一般人です。
おそらく、
生涯に渡り、知る能力がないでしょう。
器質に、原因となる病変がなければ、
病気でなく、その精神は、
人それぞれの、
自由な考え方や生き方です。
けっして、自然の法則のように、
健康な精神と言われる規則性が
社会や心に、あるのでなく、
権力や常識の好む考え方や生き方を、
権力や常識は、
健康な精神と、言っているだけです。
当然、
権力に不服従で非常識であっても、
病気でありません。
何ら法律に違反しない人を、
病気と言い、捕獲して、
抗精神病薬の強制投与により、
廃人にしてはいけません。
法律に違反した人に、
抗精神病薬が入っていたのなら、
その犯罪は、
抗精神病薬の依存症の可能性が高く、
真犯人の精神科医を、
処罰しなければいけません。
法律に違反した人に、
抗精神病薬が入っていなければ、
絶対に精神病でありませんから、
権力に対する不服従や非常識を、
法律家や捜査当局が、根に持ち、
精神科医が、精神病と診断して、
無罪にしていはいけません。
なぜなら、精神病と診断されれば、
ただちに、抗精神病薬を強制投与して、
不可逆的な廃疾に処しますから、
事実上の死刑です。
裁判や法律に拠らずに、
権力に対する不服従や非常識を、
精神病と診断されて、
医療により処刑された人が、
世界に１億人います。
日本にも、100万人います。
いったい、どのような理由から、
脳や身体の器質に、
原因となる病変が
無いにもかかわらずに、
不服従や非常識を、
精神の病気として、
強制的に廃人にするのですか。
そういうことを理解できない人が、
歌声喫茶で、こういう歌を喜ぶのは、
社会主義者でしょうか。
ソ連では、反政府活動をすれば、
全員、精神病と診断されて、
抗精神病薬の強制投与により、
廃人とされました。
日本では、おもに、
常識的でないことをすれば、
抗精神病薬により、廃人にされます。
全人口の１％を、
精神病の名のもとに、
権力者の自由に、廃疾にしても良いと、
WHO（世界保健機関）が、
認めています。
ロマンティックな精神医療を、
理由としていますが、
その事情を、理解できる人が、
30万人に１人程度ですから、
厄介です。
おそらく、WHOの担当者には、
その能力がありません。
